Artificial Intelligence Division (AID) is a part of the Institute of Computer Science, at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology of Warsaw University of Technology, the oldest and the best technical university in Poland in the ranking of Polish universities.
The Division carries out research projects in leading branches of artificial intelligence, including machine learning, neural networks, bioinformatics, and metaheuristics – especially evolutionary algorithms. The Division is also involved in industrial application projects, often aiming to analyze biological or medical data.
AID is currently recruiting candidates for the position of:
RESEARCH AND TEACHING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Responsibilities:

Research and publishing
-
Teaching and supervising students
-
Taking part in and managing projects
-
Applying for funding
-
Supporting organization of AID
-
Co-defining research goals
Requirements:
-
PhD in computer science;
-
scientific record in compliance with the specific activity of AID
-
theoretical and practical knowledge related to at least one of the following areas: machine learning, metaheuristics, artificial neural networks, bioinformatics;

significant publications from the last 2 years connected with the area covered by the activities of the Division;
-
advanced knowledge of software development, including Agile methods, concurrency, programming skills in at least one of Python, C++, R; knowledge of technology, methods and tools for data analysis;
-
being able to cooperate with industry and business including competing for grants;
-
interpersonal skills: scientific curiosity, readiness to work in teams of students and academics, being open-minded and willing to work hard;
-
ability to supervise engineering and master theses;
-
experience in teaching at the academic level.
